Get Involved with the San Francisco Surfrider Foundation
There are many ways to get involved with the San Francisco Surfrider Foundation. We host a chapter meeting the first Tuesday of each month, and three beach cleanups every month. If you are interested in learning more about our programs, attending a chapter meeting is a great place to start.
You can also check our calendar for upcoming events.
Open Positions: Buttcan Installers
Hold on to Your Butt is seeking volunteers to help us with installing cigarette receptacles (aka buttcans) in San Francisco. We’ll train you onsite at any of our install events. It’s fun, rewarding, and just takes a little elbow grease. Check out our install videos to see how it’s done and email email@example.com to join the team!
Upcoming Tabling Events for Surfrider
If you’re already a Surfrider Foundation member and you’d like to help out at upcoming events with tabling or other volunteer work, please click below to see available opportunities. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
If you are interested in bringing your team out to the beach for a volunteer day or team-building event, we are more than happy to have you come out to one of our beach cleanups! Our cleanups are at Ocean Beach, stairwell 17, across from the Beach Chalet on the first and third Sundays of the month and at Baker Beach for the last Sunday of each month. All cleanups run from 10-noon.
We also appreciate for those that have, to bring thier own gloves or grabbers, this will allow us to get the maximum amount of volunteers involved!
Be advised: rain, heavy wind, and bad weather will cancel a cleanup so keep an eye out on our social media.
For Private/Corporate/Weekday Cleanups, please email us at email@example.com with dates and times that work for your team. We will try to work with you to make the event a success! Please note we are an all-volunteer chapter so our response time may take a few extra days.
