Message In A Bottle

Art and Education Project

Message In A Bottle (MIAB) is a series of community based art installations, live music, performances, and education projects that encourage collaboration between local artists, Bay Area students, environmental non-profits, and government agencies to raise awareness about ocean plastic pollution and inspire change. We also provide opportunities to celebrate the ocean and inspire all participants to protect what we love.

This year Message in a Bottle is seeking artwork created by K-12 school students to display in Bay Area local restaurant windows from:

APRIL 22 (Earth Day) through JUNE 20 (International Surfing Day) 2021

Art should illustrate the damaging effects of single use plastics on our oceans and marine life and inspire communities to take action and become part of the solution.

Art can be created by hand, digital, 1D, 2D, 3D, drawings, paintings, mobiles, sculptures, etc. Plastics found at home, take out dining and neighborhood or beach clean ups are good inspirations.
